In September our dedicated Account Executive, Callum, will trek across one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World to raise money for a cause close to his heart.
Alongside his role with SEMPRIS, where you will know him as the voice behind the phone (or the man behind the emails), Callum gives up his spare time volunteering as a Special Constable with the Metropolitan Police Service. Coming from a family of law enforcement, Callum gives a minimum of 16 hours a month to his local community as a ‘Special’ assisting in local events, engaging with the community and recently policing The Patron’s Lunch as part of the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations, holding all the powers of a regular police officer but unpaid.
Callum has chosen to raise money for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) UK; a charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives on duty, rebuild their lives; a charity most are unfamiliar with. The charity aims to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with the tragedy of losing a loved one whilst on duty and that they remain part of the police family as they rebuild their lives.
He will start at Hualapai Hilltop before descending over 5,000 feet into the Canyon to begin the five day trek, with temperatures reaching nearly 40°C. The trek will end when he reaches the dazzling lights of ‘Sin City.’
Callum has fully funded the trip himself with all donations going to COPS UK. To read more about Callum’s story and to support his fundraising, please click here.
He would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have already kindly donated.
