As the days are draw in, it’s timely to remind you of the changes in practice we need to know about at SEMPRIS. As your specialist indemnifier, we’re always at the end of the phone to answer your queries, so please don’t hesitate to ask if you are uncertain about anything.

So that we can give you the best advice on your options, the changes to let us know about in good time are:

Retirement – we can talk to you about cover implications, excess options and the all-important Extended Reporting Period, even as you wind down your practice.

Parental leave – we understand this is not always straightforward, and the earlier we’re informed, the better able we are to assist.

Leaving employment – it’ important to consider run-off cover for the work you have carried out.

New roles – early conversations with a new employer are key to contract negotiations and we can help to lay out your indemnity responsibilities and considerations to discuss with a new club or clinic.

Travel-whether travelling with a team, taking a sabbatical or moving abroad–will have implications for your indemnity, which we can explain to you over the phone or in writing.

Starting up or selling a company – there are restrictions on who / what you are able to cover under your own SEMPRIS policy, and we can advise on this according to your own personal circumstances.

We are very aware that these do not cover even half of the permutations of what happens in the sporting world (or just life in general!), and we are always here to help, so do let us know if you have a different change in circumstances which you would like to talk through in confidence.

Meanwhile, here is our latest round-up of some of the articles and resources we found interesting. Do let us know if there are any others you have read that you’d like us to highlight to our members, your colleagues.
