This month, we’re excited to bring you ‘Talking Sports Medicine’, a podcast created by our sister organisation Health Partners Europe and hosted by Lorna Hastings. In this first episode, Lorna talks with renowned orthopaedic surgeons Bill Ribbans and James Calder and celebrated sports journalist Mark Saggers. Bill and Mark co-authored a fascinating book ‘A Plague on all Our Sports,’ published last year, about the impact of COVID-19 on the professional sporting world, and we were privileged to be able to gain valuable insights from the authors. We also had the opportunity to hear the unique perspective from James, who was Chair of the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) committee tasked with returning elite sport during the pandemic. Please do take a listen and let us know your thoughts!
ALSO NEW FOR 2025
We will be adding a vacancies section to the newsletter going forward, so please do send us details of any upcoming positions you would like us to include.
As always, here’s a selection of articles, resources and events that caught our attention last month, in case you missed them. Do let us know if there’s an event you think we should include in the next edition.
